Description
A pair of bronze-style vases in the archaistic Hu manner, converted for use as table lamps. Each is richly decorated with taotie masks, thunder pattern and ring handles, finished with a verdigris patina and mounted upon a hardwood stand. The two vessels differ slightly in form and scale — hence “sister” rather than an exactly matched pair.
Condition
One wooden foot of the second lamp is broken.
